Nurse’s eye

Beqa, Fiji

Photo Gallery

Nurse shark shot at Beqa Channel with, Fiji. Here’s some facts: Nurse sharks can get quite large, up to 4.5m and typically live around 30 years. While most fish, including sharks, must keep moving in order to breathe, Nurse Sharks can breather while remaining still by pumping the water through their mouths and gills. They are usually seen in large schools during daytime hours but become more active at night, hunting solo for spiny lobsters, crabs, shrimp, sea urchins, octopi, squid, marine snails and bivalves.
